Responsibilities
♦️Supervise and provide guidance to veterinary doctors and support staff, ensuring effective veterinary care for broiler livestock.
♦️Conduct training sessions on best practices in poultry health management, biosecurity, and vaccination.
♦️Oversee disease prevention programs, including vaccination schedules, biosecurity protocols, and health monitoring.
♦️Administer treatments and vaccinations as needed and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
♦️Monitor and manage the health status of livestock across multiple broiler farms, with a focus on maintaining high productivity and animal welfare.
♦️Coordinate with large poultry farms on best practices and advancements in broiler health management.
♦️Maintain accurate records of treatments, vaccinations, and farm health metrics to support farm productivity and compliance.
♦️Prepare reports and analysis on livestock health and productivity for senior management.
♦️Build relationships with large broiler farms and serve as the primary point of contact for health-related inquiries.
♦️Act as a representative for vaccine sales and liaise with industry partners to stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine for poultry.
Qualifications and Requirements
♦️Experience dealing with Broilers.
DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent qualification.
♦️Minimum of 10 years of experience in poultry veterinary management, preferably with experience in large-scale farms.
♦️Proven expertise in vaccine administration and disease prevention for broilers.
♦️Excellent administrative and team management skills.
♦️Strong communication skills to liaise with other farms and industry stakeholders.
♦️Familiarity with large broiler farms and poultry health practices in Nigeria.
♦️Preferred Age Range: Up to 45 years.
